Footage recently posted on YouTube takes you back – way back – to several bygone eras of Chicago.

From Lake Michigan to The Loop to Comiskey, YesterVid has put together a great collection of old footage from around the city between the years 1896-1935.

A handy map runs alongside the videos to show you each location.

According to the YouTube page, it also includes  “the oldest surviving footage of the Chicago – a short clip of a police parade in front of a now-demolished building in 1896.”

Check it out.
