14-year-old boy killed, 15-year-old injured in Kenwood shooting

CHICAGO - A 14-year-old boy was killed and a 15-year-old was injured in a shooting in the city's North Kenwood neighborhood, just two blocks from where Hadiya Pendleton was shot and killed in January 2013.

Police say two groups of people were arguing in the 4400 block of South Greenwood Avenue when a car drove by and started shooting around 7:30 p.m. Saturday.

It's not known if the teens were involved in the argument.

The 14-year-old was shot in the head and was pronounced dead on the scene.

The 15-year-old boy was shot in the leg and taken to Comer Children's Hospital in stable condition.
