One in custody after pointing gun at officer on South Side

CHICAGO -- A person is in custody after pointing a gun at an officer, the Cook County Sheriff's Office said Wednesday.

The incident happened at 50th and Drexel. Two civil process deputies serving court papers were in the area when they came upon a shooting in-progress.

One individual pointed gun at an officer. An officer fired shot or shots, but no one was hit.

One person is in custody.
