KENOSHA, Wis. -At 3:15 a.m. Satuday on the 5000 block of 33rd Avenue, one Kenosha man arrived home from work to a horrific scene.
"The husband came home and found them, and he's the one who called police," said neighbor Mary Hood.
911 dispatchers heard the man say that his wife was trying to kill his children.
"There's a lot of blood, I hear there's blood all over the house," Hood said.
By the time police arrived, two children were dead. The children's uncle told WGN the victims were three year-old Alicia Arellano and one year-old Javier Arellano Jr.
"I've never seen anyone in that house," said neighbor Amanda Leadley. "Never ever. I thought nobody lived there."
Neighbors who did see life at the home said it was a quiet one with no sign of trouble. The woman inside was injured and taken to the hospital.
"I saw a whole bunch of cops coming in and out, and the police line that says 'do not cross,'" said neighbor Osvaldo Cerda.
Police are continuing their investigation inside the home. The children's father has been taken in for questioning. Police say that this community is not in any danger.
