Suburban photo exhibit honors ‘Those Who Serve’

WAUKEGAN, Ill. -- An award winning photo exhibit opened Friday night in Waukegan from an artist with a unique perspective on a timely subject.

Photojournalist Ryan Spencer Reed is presenting his work on the anniversary of 9-11.

Reed’s curiosity led him to the 506th Infantry of the 101st Airborne, known as the modern-day Band of Brothers. His cousin was a Commander. For two and a half years, Reed was given unique access to the soldiers from training to deployment in Afghanistan.

WGN’s Jackie Bange has a a look at a powerful exhibit titled "Those Who Serve."


The Exhibit will be shown from September 11th until Veteran’s Day.
