Remains of 3 bodies found in Riverdale garage

RIVERDALE, Ill. --  At least three bodies and other human remains were found in a garage behind a home in Riverdale at about 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.

A 43 year-old man who used to live in the house at 139th and Dearborn worked in the funeral industry. He passed away on August 29th.

Neighbors say his widow discovered the bodies as she prepared to clean out the garage.

State records show the man was fined in 2013 for practicing funeral directing and embalming without a license.

Age, gender, cause of death, or how long the bodies have been in the garage is unknown.

The remains have been handed over to the Cook County medical examiner's office.
