HOMER GLEN, Ill. — An earlier situation at a Homer Glen elementary school has been cleared.

Early Tuesday, William E. Young Elementary School, located at 16240 S. Cedar Drive, was evacuated due to a bomb threat received over the weekend.

Will County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Kathy Hoffmeyer said a secretary at the school was listening to voice messages when she heard one from the weekend that said there is a bomb in the school.

The students were evacuated to Luther J. Schilling School, Hoffmeyer said.

Police have searched the school, and so did the DuPage County Bomb Squad and their bomb-sniffing dogs.

They didn’t find anything dangerous.

Students have returned to William E. Young Elementary.
