CHICAGO – An Amtrak train is stopped on Chicago’s North Side after clipping a dump truck.
According to Amtrak, train was on it’s way to Milwaukee when it struck the truck around 2 p.m. this afternoon near Caldwell and Devon.
It has 197 passengers on board, some complaining of injuries. Emergency crews are on their way.
Both the train and the truck were damaged.
Metra trains are also impacted.
Amtrak has canceled trains 337 and 340 out of Chicago and Milwaukee.
