Bullets fired on Kennedy ramp; man injured

CHICAGO – Illinois State Police are investigating a shooting on the outbound Kennedy expressway.

It happened after midnight on the Kennedy  off ramp at Damen, near Fullerton and Western.

Police say a 16-year-old boy who was riding in the front passenger seat of a minivan was grazed in the arm by a bullet.

He’s expected to be okay.

Several bullet holes were seen in the minivan’s windshield.

Police are investigating.

No one is in custody.

This is the 28th shooting on a Chicago-area expressway this year, and the second one this week.
