Emergency crews respond to water main break downtown

CHICAGO — A water main break has been reported downtown.

Emergency crews responded to 300 N. Canal at about 7:30 a.m for a 12-inch water main break along the west side of Canal.

Canal is closed between Lake and Kinzie. Fulton is closed from Canal to Clinton.

Crews have stopped the gush of water and buildings in the area are still receiving water service.
