HARARE, Zimbabwe — A lion charged and killed a safari guide in the same national park in Zimbabwe that was the home of Cecil the lion.

Quinn Swales was tracking wildlife with a group of tourists in Hwange National Park.

He was leading the tourists on a walking safari when he spotted six lions.

Authorities say one of the lions became hostile and attacked him.

Back in July, Cecil the collared lion was killed just outside the park by American dentist James Palmer.

It sparked worldwide outrage.

The lion that killed Swales was also collared.

Oxford University is monitoring the collared lions for a study.
