CTA Green Line Service resumes after minor derailment on the South Side

CHICAGO –  Service on the CTA Green Line has resumed after a minor derailment early Sunday morning.

Train service was temporarily halted at about 6 a.m. between Garfield Boulevard and 63rd/Ashland stops.

Shuttle buses were provided to riders until service resumed shortly before 9 a.m.

A CTA spokesperson says no passengers were on board the train that derailed.
