Line drive hits Yankees pitcher Bryan Mitchell in the face

NEW YORK —Yankees pitcher Bryan Mitchell took a line drive to the face Monday night.

He went right to the ground and had to be helped off the field.

He was diagnosed with a small nasal fracture and released from the hospital.

Mitchell is the fourth major league pitcher to be hit in the head by a line drive this year.

The Yankees beat the Twins 8-7 in the 10th innings.
