CHICAGO -- Opening statements are underway on Wednesday in the civil trial pitting Michael Jordan against the former grocery store chain, Dominick's, and it's parent company, "Safeway."

Jordan is going after Dominick's for using his name without permission in a two dollar off coupon for steaks. Only two shoppers took advantage of the deal.

Jordan is asking for $5 million in damages. The judge has already said that request seems a little greedy.

Despite previous reports, Jordan is not expected to testify on Wednesday.
