NFL draft returning to Chicago in 2016

CHICAGO -- The NFL draft will return to Chicago for the second consecutive year.

This was the first year the draft had taken place outside of New York City since 1965.

The 2016 draft is scheduled for April 28 through 30.

Mayor Emanuel expected to make the announcement official during a press conference with NFL President Roger Goodell next hour.

Goodell and NFL team owners meeting are meeting today in Schaumburg regarding the possibility of a team relocating to LA.
