CHICAGO -- They call it their David versus Goliath fight: Englewood residents are up against the railroad as it pushes to take over their land.
You can tell it used to be a neighborhood, but now, it’s scattered homes here and there, mainly just plots sitting empty.
As it turns out, the Norfolk Southern railroad has been buying up land since 2008 to expand its rail yard.
But there are still some property owners left there who don’t want to sell. And their fight is now coming to a climax.
