CHICAGO — Some Chicago public schools won’t have their schedules changed after all.

CPS has agreed to allow 34 schools to keep their old start and end times after parents and educators complained about the moves.

CPS recently announced it was changing bell times at 82 schools to save about nine million dollars on bus transportation. With the newest changes, the district expects to save about five million dollars.

CPS is facing a $1.1 billion operating deficit.
