Dog stolen from animal shelter; $1K reward offered

NORTHBROOK, Ill. — The Heartland Animal Shelter in Northbrook, Ill., is seeking help after one of its dogs was stolen over the weekend.

According to a statement released by the shelter, Mr. Reese, an 8-year old Jack Russell Terrier mix, was stolen from the facility at 2975 Milwaukee Ave. Northbrook, between 5 p.m. Aug. 1 and 8 a.m. Aug. 2.

Heartland Animal Shelter says the dog is microchipped and is offering a $1,000 reward for his return.

Anyone with information on the missing dog is encouraged to call shelter manager Angelique Walker at 847-361-1901 or the Prospect Heights Police at 847-398-5511.
