CHICAGO - At the moment he's without a team. But on Sunday he looked ready to play.
Still in solid football shape veteran NFL linebacker DJ Williams paid a visit to Sports Feed on Sunday to talk with Jarrett Payton and Josh Frydman.
Williams is no stranger to Payton since they were teammates for a time at the University of Miami and were apart of successful Hurricane teams of the early 2000's.
After that Williams played 11 years in the NFL mostly with the Denver Broncos collecting a career-high 5.5 sacks in 2010. The last two seasons he spent with the Bears making 46 tackles in 12 games in 2014.
While a free agent at the moment Williams is still actively looking for a team for the 2015 season. As he does that he's still heavily involved with his charity "The HomeTeam Closet" along with his clothing line "Dyme Lyfe." He talked about all of those things with Jarrett and Josh during a pair of segments on Sunday's Sports Feed.
