NEW YORK — A new report says former Subway spokesman Jared Fogle admitted to paying for sex with a 16-year-old girl.

Business Insider reports that the FBI has subpoenaed an affidavit with text communications between Fogle and a former female Subway franchisee, in which Fogle said he had paid for sex with a 16-year-old girl.

According to Business Insider the franchisee’s lawyers said she shared the texts with Subway management, but Subway did nothing.

Business Insider reports it has obtained the text-message conversations the FBI recently subpoenaed. They reported:

In the messages, Fogle repeatedly asks the woman — a Subway franchisee at the time — to advertise herself on Craigslist for sex with other men.

He asks her if he can watch the sexual acts and tells her she can make about $500 per act.

The messages in the affidavit, which the attorney says were recorded from the woman’s phone by a court reporter in 2008 and witnessed and verified by a notary-public official, span from January 2008 to June 2008. Business Insider independently verified the authenticity of the affidavit. We also verified that a phone number in the document was registered to a Jared Fogle.

According to Business Insider the messages show Fogle had then asked the employee to set up a meeting with her and the employee’s cousin, who according to her lawyers was underaged at the time.

Reported Business Insider, citing the messages:

“When can we find a time for me to talk to your cousin?” Fogle asks in a message dated May 1, 2008.

“Any more news with your cousin?” he asks the following day. “Tell me what u think about when u think of the three of us all together???”

Earlier, in April, according to the affidavit, Fogle asked the woman, “How young would you like?… Would you want to have an adventure like that?”

On June 19, the lawyer says that Fogle again asked the woman to advertise herself on Craigslist. She responds: “Is this the same website you found that 16 year old girl you that you f*****? …I still can’t believe you only paid $100 for her.”

Fogle responds: “It was amazing!!!!”

Fogle gained national fame after attributing massive weight loss to eating Subway sandwiches. He was a freshman at Indiana University at the time. He later became a visible presence in Subway ad campaigns, pitching the restaurant’s sandwiches and touting their health benefits.

In July, federal and state authorities raided Fogle’s home in connection with a child pornography investigation. In April, Russell Taylor, the former director of Fogle’s Jared Foundation, was arrested following a child pornography investigation.

Fogle has not been arrested or charged following the raid. Subway announced that it had suspended its relationship with Fogle once word of the raid broke.

Stupid, stupid man. What goes around comes around, Mr. Fogle, you will receive your due in the end. My question is, why did it take authorities so long, especially after the particular situation in this article was brought to Subway management?
