CHICAGO – A crowd gathered in downtown Chicago tonight to protest and raise awareness of Sandra Bland’s death.

Bland was the Naperville woman who was pulled over, arrested and found dead in her Texas jail cell three days later.  The medical examiner says it was suicide.

Her family and other supporters say that doesn’t add up.

Waller County officials in Texas released additional video today from Bland’s arrest.  They say they released the video today because they wanted to dispel rumors that Bland was dead before she got to jail.  They also tell CNN they have received death threats.

Supporters at the Chicago protest Tuesday night say they don’t support violence but promise to keep protesting peacefully to keep pushing for what they say is the truth to come out.

The family will never believe anything but what they want to believe. It’s a no win situation. All the evidence and facts won’t change their mind.
