NICARAGUA — Tourists in Central America recently captured footage that showed what it would look like if a sloth took a selfie.

According to FOX News, the video was taken in Nicaragua as the animal climbed a tree.

Footage shows the sloth as it inches curiously toward the camera, getting its nose as close as possible to the lens. At one point it even puts its arms around the camera.

Two people on the ground below can be seen looking up at smiling at the whole ordeal.

Sloths have somewhat of a cult following given their cute nature. They even have the wholehearted support of some celebrities. (Looking at you, Kristen Bell.)

According to the World Wide Fund for Nature, sloths dwell in the rainforests of Central and South America, and typically move only about 40 yards per day, and sleep for about 15-20 hours per day.
