CHICAGO -- A man is dead after being hit by a car while on his bike late Saturday night.

He was struck by an SUV near the intersection of Western and Congress just before midnight.

The man was taken to Stroger hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Police have not released his name.

The driver of the SUV stayed at the scene and likely will face a citation.

Alcohol does not appear to be a factor.

hey Fishman- without any info here- you would do best to save your breath. More often than not, bikers are killed by cars running red lights rather than the other way around. Please do some research on the matter.
