Woman’s body found on Loop Brown Line platform

CHICAGO -- A woman was found dead on a Brown Line platform Saturday morning in the Loop, police said.

CTA staffers called police about 7 a.m. when they saw the body of the victim on an L platform at 30 N. Wells St., police said.

A medical examiner identified the woman as 21-year-old June Ward.

The cause of her death was not immediately known and police said her body, which was lying down, showed signs of “possible trauma.’’ She was not hit by a train, police said.
