3 dead, 7 wounded in Louisiana movie theater shooting

LAFAYETTE, La.  — Lafayette police Chief Jim Craft says the death toll in the movie theater shooting has increased to three.

Craft said at a news conference that seven victims were wounded and their injuries ranged from not life-threatening to critical.

Authorities have not released the identity of the gunman but say the 58-year-old white man died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

The theater was showing the movie "Trainwreck" at the time of the shooting.  Amy Schumer, who stars in the film, tweeted a message late Thursday night:

      Then you have to pay to man them. Tickets will be $20. If everyone just CCW and waould take respomsibility then the problem would be taken care of. If Im at a movie and someone starts shooting it will be thalast thing they do.
