CHICAGO -- Four people were found dead in a home in the East Chatham neighborhood Saturday night.
The bodies were found around 8:25 p.m. Saturday in the 8300 block of South Drexel Avenue. Relatives have confirmed that the victims were Latoya Jackson, 27, and three boys: Andrew Simms, 11, Cameron Jackson, 9, and 5-year-old Cantrell, whose last name is not yet known.
They say all three of the boys were Jackson's children.
Authorities say the woman appeared to have suffered some sort of trauma to her head, and her body appeared to have been burned, but have not yet determined the cause of death.
Authorities say all of the bodies were in a decomposing state.
The state fire marshal was at the scene and investigators were seen entering the house in white body suits with full face masks, attached to oxygen tanks.
Police were asked to make a well-being check when they made the discovery.
They say neighbors had called to report a bad smell coming from the home.
