Divvy hiking daily prices
CHICAGO – Starting next week it will cost extra to ride one of those blue bikes around the city.
Divvy is increasing the cost for daily bike rentals by about 40%.
That means the current $7 price will rise to $9.95 per day.
A daily pass is valid for 24 hours and it includes an unlimited number of rides lasting no longer than 30 minutes each.
The bike-sharing company says higher operational costs and growth led to the price hike.
By the end of this year the extra income will bring in an additional $400,000
Next year it will double that, bringing in $800,000.
