CHICAGO — The Shedd Aquarium’s Pacific white-sided dolphin calf will make its public debut this weekend.

You can see the 40-pound baby boy at the Abbott Oceanarium’s Secluded Bay starting July 18.

Shedd staff say the calf is showing more interest in whole fish, swimming more independently and had its first successful meeting with another female Pacific white-sided dolphin.

The calf was born to mom Piquet on June 1, and has not yet been named.
