CHICAGO -- Friends and family gathered Wednesday evening to honor the 13-month-old boy who was killed last weekend when a car trying to escape police struck him.

Dillan Harris was hit Saturday when the person driving a car jumped the curb at 63rd and South Ellis and hit the stroller he was riding in. Police say 21-year-old Antowon Watkins was driving. He’s been charged with murder.

Another man was arrested but has not been charged. Witnesses say they saw a third man jumped out of the car.

Not long before Harris was killed, police say the people in the car were involved in a shooting that killed Chicago rapper, 22-year-old Marvin Carr, known as “Capo.” He is an associated of another Chicago rapper who goes by Cheif Keef.

Police say the investigation is ongoing.

Meanwhile a family and community continue to mourn. The crowd prayed and showed their support for Dillan’s family.

There is now a $1,000 reward for any information that leads to an arrest of any suspects in connection to the death a baby boy over the weekend.
