Man found dead in apartment building on Near West Side

CHICAGO -- Chicago police are conducting a death investigation after a man's body was found in a Near West Side apartment.

Police say the body was found around 5 p.m. in a building near Washington and Western Ave.

Police believe the man's life was taken during a robbery.

The victim was identified by his mother to WGN  as 40-year-old Amon Shannon.

Dude had a lot of enemies he snitch on people for decades sending people to jail.the stuff you do come back on you .dont look like no robbery to me sad he got killed but sad he snitch on people with family for wat$$$$ snitch on people that was bootlegging ??? But the MPPA gave him a pass but the streets not for snitching
