Roads reopening after suspicious material secured in South Loop

CHICAGO -- Roads are reopening after a suspicious material was spotted in the South Loop.

Due to earlier reports of a suspicious material, Wabash was closed from Balbo to 9th.

8th was also blocked off between Wabash and Michigan.

Those roads are now reopening.

A bomb and arson team as well as the Chicago Fire Department arrived on the scene. Authorities say the material was nitrous oxide.
