CHICAGO -- The father of shooting victim Amari Brown was in court Wednesday. The judge granted a continuance in a gun charge case until August 10th.

Seven year old Amari Brown was shot and killed in Chicago's Humboldt Park neighborhood Saturday.

Police say they believe Amari's father, Antonio Brown, was the intended target because he's a known gang member.

Brown is free on bond after he was charged with possession of a gun by a felon and other crimes.

He had been convicted several times on drug charges since 2003.

The most recent happened in 2012.

Who is the judge that keeps letting him out?
Time to start looking at judges also, they have a role in crimes being committed.
