SCOTLAND — The pictures of food at most fast food restaurants are usually deceiving.
Sometimes the sandwich in the picture is nothing like the small, smashed looking thing that gets handed to you.
A traveler in Scotland says he ran into that when he ordered the bacon-and-egg sandwich at Edinburgh Airport.
In a photo posted on Reddit, user spambox said: “This is what a £3.20 bacon and egg roll from Edinburgh Airport looks like.”
The sandwich featured a regular sized bread roll.
But inside was a small piece of bacon and a tiny egg, with a yellow speck for a yolk.
“The part that made it worse was that they told me to take a seat and they’d bring it over,” spambox wrote. “Then after 15 minutes I had to go back and ask where my roll was which they had totally forgotten about.”
In a statement, a spokesperson for Edinburgh Airport said: “We work closely with all of our food and beverage providers to ensure we offer customers the best choice of refreshments and service. Sadly on this occasion EAT fell below the mark and we offer our apologies to this customer. Clearly this is not the service EAT should be providing and this has been address with the outlet.”
