CHICAGO – The Chicago Public Schools’ Safe Haven program is under way at locations across the city.  Safe Haven's summer program will run Monday - Friday from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m through August 14.

With school out for the summer, thousands of Chicago students will need safe places to spend their time. All activities, breakfast and lunch are free for CPS students at 120 Safe Haven locations.

Safe Haven is a partnership between CPS and church leaders across the city.  The goal is to keep children safe and keep them engaged, and to provide parents with peace of mind during the summer break.

The kids will enjoy free structured activities, including sports, and courses in cooking and financial literacy.
