DETROIT — Fiat Chrysler is telling people to stop driving the 2015 models of the Jeep Grand Cherokee and Dodge Durango.
The automobile manufacturer says a suspension malfunction causes instability in the rear of the car and reduces braking power.
About 7,700 vehicles are included in the latest recall.
Fiat Chrysler will contact about 65 customers via phone call to arrange an at-home inspection of their car.
The remaining cars included in the recall are still on their way to dealerships, or parked on dealership lots.
Customers who have cars included in the recall will be provided with a loaner car by Chrysler.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has a hearing later this week to discuss whether Fiat Chrysler failed to quickly notify customers and fix vehicles in 20 previous recalls.
Fiat Chrysler is defending their performance.

This is disgusting. Most of the Grand Cherokee’s are in the 40,000.00 to 60,000.00 msrp range and this will sure keep me from ever considering a product of theirs again. I sold my 5.7L Hemi 2014 Grand Cherokee Summit (MSRP $54,880.00) due to 8 recalls!!!

My 2011 Dodge Durango caught fire on June 17th, due to a Sun Visor short, which caused a fire. I am still waiting for Chrysler to call me back. It has been 8 business days with ZERO contact from Chrysler. My car is sitting at the dealership and I am unable to drive it. I sue hope they get their act together and soon! It is very frustrating, not knowing what is going on and your car is no longer driveable!
