STERLING, Ill. -- The National Weather Service reports high winds have also caused damage near the Lee County community of Sublette.

Meteorologist Gino Izzi says he couldn't confirm that a tornado touched down in the community, located about 85 miles west of Chicago. However, downed trees and power lines and damage to vehicles at a recreation trailer park were reported.

No injuries were reported when the roof of a sporting goods store in nearby Sterling collapsed.

I cannot believe that WGN and every other news outlet had one story yesterday, the possible tornado warnings for downstate. It took an hour to report this? It was outrageous and ridiculous to run one single story that had nothing to do with Chicago. And to lend further proof that there is only one news outlet in this country, Channel 2, 5 and 7 did the same. They all lead with the same stories, they will run sports and weather at the same time. How is that possible if they were really separate entities?
