Cubs Game Notes For Monday vs. LA Dodgers

This is an archived article and the information in the article may be outdated. Please look at the time stamp on the story to see when it was last updated.

* Cubs’ starter Tsuyoshi Wada is 4-0 in his last 10 starts at “The Friendly Confines.” Wada has a 2.36 ERA and a .202 opp. BA in the starts, but the Cubs are 6-4 as a team.

* Though they lead the NL West, the Los Angeles Dodgers are still trying to get on the winning track away from Dodger Stadium. Their road record (12-18, .400) so far this season is far below the standard set by recent playoff teams.

* Clayton Kershaw is currently riding his third career streak of three double-digit strikeout games in a row. If he can record 10 or more strikeouts tonight, Kershaw will join Sandy Koufax (twice in 1962 and three times in 1965) and Hideo Nomo (once in 1995) as the only Los Angeles Dodgers pitchers with four straight starts with double-digit strikeouts.

* When the Cubs get a quality start from a pitcher, like Jake Arrieta posted yesterday in Minnesota, no NL team has a better record (27-6).
