21-year-old fatally shot, mother critically wounded in South Chicago
CHICAGO — A 21-year-old man is dead after a shooting at 8400 S. Saginaw, police said Saturday.
Police responded to a call of shots fired at noon when they discovered the man’s body.
A 46-year-old woman, who according to the Chicago Tribune was the man’s mother, was also injured in the shooting. She was transported to Christ in critical condition.
Citing preliminary information, police said the victims were standing outside when an unknown male offender approached, striking the victims.
No one has been arrested at this time.
