Evacuation plans are in place if thunderstorms or rain hits during a major concert Wednesday night near Montrose Beach.

Mumford & Sons will play at Cricket Hill. 35,000 people are expected to attend the sold-out show. The opening act takes the stage at 6 p.m.

The concert comes at a time when neighborhood residents are concerned about noise and traffic. Both have been problems from past shows at Cricket Hill.

If there’s an evacuation, people may take shelter at Lake Shore Drive underpasses from Montrose to Lawrence, the parking garage of Weiss Memorial Hospital, or the Chicago Park District Field House at Clarendon Park.
