15-year-old boy fatally shot on West Side

CHICAGO — A 15-year-old boy was shot and killed on Chicago’s West Side.

Police say Martese Gentry was standing with a group of people in the 1400 block of south Millard in Lawndale at about 5:40 p.m. Tuesday.

They were watching two women fight — when the shooter walked up and opened fire.

His name has not been released.

No arrests have been made.

    Really WGN you have 9 innocent Black people lose their lives in a senseless act..and there’s no news about it..But you lavish in a story about gang violence fueled by ignorance and it’s a front page story. #OverIt

      They didnt say it was gang related every time someone gets killed its not gang related, innocent people get killed everyday including those 9 innocent people , that 15 year old was somebody also, so stop with the ignorance of assuming, no where it said gang related.
