NORTHLAKE, Ill. -- Some Northlake residents are finally getting a break Tuesday afternoon.

The flooding they have been dealing with since last night is starting to recede.

Around Division Street and 45th Avenue, there was bad flooding.

The Addison Creek overflowed, and sewer systems became backed up.

The water entered basements and flooded them, as well as yards.

Neighbors say this always happens whenever there's a flash flood.

The Northlake mayor is looking for money from the state or county, but so far, no luck.
