Teen girl from Iowa reportedly abducted by 3 people

WINFIELD, Iowa -- Officials continue to search for a teenage girl from Iowa who they say was recently abducted by three people.

WQAD reports Karyn Renee Mehaffy, 16, was abducted Friday night shortly before 8 p.m. out of Winfield, Iowa, according to the Henry County Sheriff’s Office in Iowa.

Three people traveling in a dark blue SUV reportedly captured the girl.

Mehaffy is described as 5 feet 3 inches, heavyset, with dyed blonde hair and blue/green bangs. She was last seen wearing green skinny jeans and a black sleeveless t-shirt, according to WQAD.

A Facebook page, "Bring Karyn Renee Mehaffy Home," has been set up and it currently has more than 4,000 likes. According to that page, Mehaffy was pulled into the SUV while walking home from either school or the park with a friend. According to the Facebook page and local authorities, she is potentially in the company of a man named Wilfredo Martinez Gonzalez.

Anyone with information on the teen's whereabouts is asked to call the Henry County Sheriff’s Office at 319-385-2712.
