The Cubs beat the Reds 2-1 on a walk-off hit by Starlin Castro Sunday night at Wrigley Field.

The Cubs took three out of four from the Reds.

If the Cubs are to remain in the conversation to make the postseason, they will need more consistently solid performances from left-handed starter Jon Lester.

The Reds took a 1-0 lead in the sixth inning as Billy Hamilton stole third (his third of the game), and scored on a bloop single by Brandon Phillips.

The Cubs tied the game 1-1 in the seventh inning when David Ross doubled, moved to third on a sacrifice bunt by pinch-hitter Jonathan Herrera and scored on a sacrifice fly by Dexter Fowler.

Lester went seven innings, allowing one run on five hits.

In his last outing, Lester allowed five runs on nine hits in 4 1/3 innings of a 6-0 loss at Detroit.
