Missing Crown Point man found dead in retention pond

CROWN POINT, Ind. -- A man who disappeared in Northwest Indiana more than a month ago has been found dead.

Michael Hernandez had been missing since May 1, when he left a bar after a Blackhawks game.

Thursday, his body was found in his car in a retention pond in Crown Point.

The bar where Hernandez was last seen is about a mile and a half from the retention pond.

Hernandez was the father of young twins.

More details on the investigation are expected this afternoon.
