CHICAGO — Tampa Bay Lightning head coach Jon Cooper is enjoying royal treatment — even though he’s in rival territory.

Cooper reportedly enjoyed another free meal Tuesday at Chicago Cut Steakhouse. This time, actor Vince Vaughn picked up the check.

Cooper was there with 19 others, his assistant coaches and front office management, when Vaughn spotted him.

Chicago Cut managing partner David Flom told the Chicago Tribune Vaughn and Cooper were friends, and Cooper had first offered to pay for Vaughn’s tab.

“Vince looks at me and says, ‘I know that guy just called you over to pick up my check. That’s not how we roll in Chicago,’” Flom recounted to the Tribune. “He goes, ‘This is Chicago, my town. This is how we treat people. I got his check.’”
