LAKE COUNTY, Ohio – Victoria Bascom didn’t pay her cab fare after being driven 30 miles from Cleveland to Painesville, Ohio.

So, what did the judge do? Judge Michael A. Cicconetti gave her an eye for an eye sentencing.

Bascom was ordered to spend 60 days in jail.

“I’ll give you another option,” Cicconetti told Bascom in court. “If you can’t afford a cab, what are you going to do?”

“Walk,” Bascom responded.

“Walk. So, I think it’s only appropriate you walk the 30 miles instead of jail,” Cicconetti said.

According to WOIO-TV, Cicconetti is known for giving people punishments that closely fit the crime.

She was also ordered to four months of probation and had to pay United Cab $100 in restitution.

“All I can really say is…it was dumb,” Bascom said.
