NEW YORK — “Fifty Shades” fans, the wait is over.

A fourth novel in the “Fifty Shades of Grey” romance series by E L James will be released June 18 by Vintage Books, it was announced Monday on Instagram.

The series follows the romance between a young billionaire, Christian Grey, and a college student, Anastasia Steele.

“Grey” is told from Christian’s point of view.

“Christian is a complex character, and readers have always been fascinated by his desires and motivations,” James said in a news release Monday.

The statement claims thousands of readers have written James in the past asking for Christian’s point of view.

“This book is dedicated to those readers who asked,” the statement said.

The “Fifty Shades” trilogy has sold more than 125 million copies worldwide, according to the release. The new book’s publish date of June 18 should prove familiar to fans, as it corresponds with the character Christian’s birthday in the series.
