CHICAGO -- One thousand people in 100 locations took part in Chicago’s "Summer of Faith and Action" program last summer.

Now, Mayor Emanuel has asked local Rapper and Activist "FM Supreme" to help lead the project this summer.

In 2012 she started a program called "Campaign For Youth Peace" using her music to promote a message of peace for the youth of Chicago.

On the WGN Morning News, she said at-risk teens need to be given an alternative to joining gangs.

The Chicago International Youth Peace Movement Conference is being held next week.
