The National Storm Prediction Center has updated their severe weather outlook maps and now have the Chicago area in the general area of thunderstorms today and Tuesday – between severe weather risk areas. Today there exists a severe weather risk to our west over portions of Iowa and Nebraska, south into Texas and Oklahoma where a Moderate Risk of severe storms has been forecast.

Tomorrow the risk of severe storms lies to our east and south  with a Slight Risk of severe storms over southern portions of Indiana and Ohio south into the Gulf coast states and another slight risk area back in Texas and Oklahoma.
