Chicago marks Memorial Day with ceremony at Grant Park

CHICAGO -- Chicago officially marked Memorial Day with a 21 gun salute and ceremony in Grant Park Monday morning.

Special recognition was given to two local service members killed in the past year; Army Private Aaron Toppen of Frankfort and Marine Corps combat photographer Sara Medina of Aurora.

The land of Lincoln has lost 255 troops since the beginning of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan following the 9/11 attacks.
